Website builder is great!

I just used the website builder for my small business. It was so easy to drag and drop everything! I had my site up in an afternoon, seriously. I thought it would be complicated but it really wasn't. The templates looked professional, too. Definitely going to tell my friends about this. So happy with how my site turned out!

Good hosting, easy setup

I bought shared web hosting. Setup was quick. My site is live. No issues so far. Exactly what I needed.

Decent value, few quirks

I signed up for a basic shared hosting plan and registered a new domain. The pricing was very competitive for the first year. Setting up WordPress was straightforward enough. I did notice that the cPanel interface felt a bit dated compared to some other hosts I've used. Also, sometimes the site load speeds felt a little slow during peak times, but not consistently. Customer support was helpful when I had a question about email forwarding, they responded within a couple of hours. Overall, it's a solid choice for the price, but there's room to improve the interface and maybe optimize server performance a bit more.

Got my business email

Needed a professional email for my side hustle. Got one of their business email accounts. It was pretty simple to set up, just followed the steps. Works fine, no complaints. It was nice to get it done quickly without much fuss.

Always come back here

I've been using Netfirms for years now. Just registered another domain name, my third one with them. The process was smooth, as usual. Their domain privacy protection is always easy to add on. Never had a major problem over multiple orders, which is why I keep coming back when I need another domain or hosting plan. Consistent service.

Does Netfirms really do those crazy cheap domain deals, like the 1 cent or $1.99 ones? And do they apply if I'm already a customer?

N Nina 1 month ago
They totally do those cheap domain deals, but usually, it's for new customers or your first registration. Don't expect that price when it comes time to renew, those prices go way up.

Nah, those deep discounts are almost always for new accounts only, or at least new registrations. Existing customers usually pay the regular renewal rate. It's a bummer but pretty standard for hosting companies.

I'm looking at Netfirms vs GoDaddy for a new small business site. Any thoughts on reliability or features between them?

C Cody 1 month ago
I've used both. Netfirms feels a bit more geared towards simplicity, good for a small biz. GoDaddy has tons of features but can feel overwhelming. Reliability-wise, I haven't had major issues with either, but Netfirms' support always felt a bit more personal.

Honestly, for a small business, Netfirms is solid. GoDaddy can be a bit pushy with upsells, and sometimes their interface is a maze. Netfirms is usually cheaper for the basics too, especially if you snag an intro deal.

Thinking of moving my domain over to Netfirms. How easy is it to transfer a domain?

S Shane 1 month ago
Pretty straightforward. You just need to unlock it at your current registrar and get the authorization code. Netfirms has a step-by-step guide on their site.

yeah it's not too bad. Did one last year and it took maybe 5 days total for everything to propagate fully, but the actual process on their end was quick.

What's their money-back guarantee like? In case the hosting isn't a good fit for my project.

S Shane Q. 1 month ago
They have one. I think it's 30 days for hosting plans, but you gotta check the specifics because domains and other services might be different or non-refundable. Read the fine print.

Yeah, I remember seeing something about a 30-day window for hosting. Just make sure you cancel properly within that time, don't just stop paying.
